Physical Education

Our physical education program provides opportunities for all students to be physically active regularly and to develop an appreciation for and enjoyment of movement in the following categories: outdoor activities, fitness, games, gymnastics as well as individual and dual activates. Physical education is also an integral part of the total education progress. Students who participate in regular physical education classes enjoy enhanced memory and learning, better concentration and increased problem-solving abilities. They are willing to take appropriate risks and have a more positive attitude toward themself and others. All students are required to have:

  • running shoes for gym use only;
  • shorts, t-shirt, socks (track suits optional);
  • towel if student would like to shower;
  • student should also have suitable outdoor wear for certain activities.

If a student is to be excused from participation for a period of time in PE, he or she is required to bring a note from home or a doctor. Without a required note or gym strip, students will be required to take part. In grades eight to ten>

PHYSICAL EDUCATION 11 AND 12

The learning outcomes for Physical Education 11 and 12 are grouped under active living, movement and personal and social responsibility. Active living values personal health and incorporates physical activity into your daily life. Experiences in movement foster participation in activities. Students demonstrate personal growth as they learn to accept personal and social responsibility. Through physical education, they develop respect for themselves and others. All students are required to complete volunteer community hours as part of these courses.

FALCONS CLOTHING Is sold once per school year in front of the library. Sales start in the middle of November and adelivery is usually at the beginning of December.​
